A Smiles We Bear Update
I haven’t done one of these for a while, and I apologize for that. My life has been pretty hectic as of late, with a med change, a job search and keeping up with all else being a functioning adult entails. I wanted to take this time today to give you all an update on what The Smiles We Bear is doing, and what direction we are heading. Firstly, I wanted to thank all of my readers, from the bottom of my heart, as the site is continuing to grow beyond my wildest imaginings. We are continuing to do great things in the world of mental healthcare, while maybe not from a medical standpoint, we are still offering a very therapeutic reading experiences.
I know that I myself have been having a great deal of trouble managing the site by myself, with the help of a friend for the social media aspect. I have been really struggling to bring you all great articles that I can be proud of, and that sincerely hurts, as I feel I could and should be doing better. However, I always have to acknowledge that I myself am dealing with my own mental health battle, and while it pains me, sometimes that takes priority over my site. I just again wanted to thank all of you for your dedication to this community, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without all of your support.
As for the future of this site, as I said, I’m having troubles delivering quality content to you, so I am looking for someone who is willing to become a contributing writer on my blog. As I know that I don’t have the most exposure I won’t hold it against any of you, if you decide not to hop on board. But I am looking for someone who would like to grow with me, as most days this site’s following is still growing. If you know of anyone, please ask them to reach out, so that we may further spread the healing of therapeutic discussion when it comes to mental health.
Secondly, I currently have in the works, a short story that I cannot wait to share with you all, and a novel, that I giving me some trouble, but will come out eventually (by the end of the year I hope). So a lot of my writing energy has been going towards these projects, and is lending myself to be spent, creatively, before I can write a good article for this site. So I again, wanted to thank you all for your continuing support, and that I will try my hardest in order to manage my own mental health, and continue to create wonderful content for you all.
Thank you (again),
